The Ferrari Club of America was formed in 1962 by eleven enthusiasts to promote the restoration, preservation, and driving of the Ferrari automobile. Membership today numbers around 4,800. A typical membership consists of member, spouse and family. The Ferrari Club of America, a non-profit organization, is the largest Ferrari club in the world and the only club in North America recognized by Ferrari.
 
Each year they hold an international meet in a different major city in the United States or Canada. The Annual Meet attracts 600 to 800 participants and approximately 250 to 300 Ferraris for a five day event. The Meet includes an internationally recognized Concours d’Elegance, a road rally, three days of racetrack activities, a vendor market, seminars, receptions and two festive dinner banquets with award presentations. The 2006 Ferrari Club of America Annual Meet will be held outside Washington, DC at the beautiful Westfield Marriott International Conference Center in Chantilly, Virginia, near Dulles Airport. The dates are May 31 to June 4, 2006.
 
The nearly 5,000 strong members of the world’s largest Ferrari club, the Ferrari Club of America, enjoy exciting track events, an internationally recognized Concours d'Elegance and a wide variety of year round social activities. Active Regions throughout the U.S. and Canada maintain a full Calendar of Events and their Annual Meeting, with hundreds of Ferraris, hundreds more people, a Swap Meet, Concours, Rally, track event and banquets, draws participants from around the world. FCA members receive the monthly News Bulletin with its calendar of events, free classified ads for members, F1 coverage and more. Their quarterly full color magazine, Prancing Horse, contains in depth features on particular Ferrari types, interviews with Ferrari people.
