The Great Lakers Auto Club is located in Michigan City, Indiana. They have approximately 97 members from all over the states, Florida, Texas, and Arizona, even a member in Austria. There is a facility for the members to work on their vehicles and a club room for weekly meetings. Member status can be Active, Inactive, and Associate membership. Great Lakers Auto Club also have an annual Show & Shine on Sunday September 4, 2006, at Washing Park in Michigan City, Indiana Meetings are held every Wednesday night. The club is organized on a set of Rules & Regulations with a Constitution. Great Lakers Auto Club elects officers every year and have a Board of Directors.
The Club was founded on March 3, 1960. Great Lakers Auto Club are one of the oldest clubs in the United States that is active and have their own building. In August 2000 they celebrated their 40th anniversary. Great Lakers Auto Club is a group of men and women dedicated to the further development in the field of automobile vehicles, classic cars and Hot rods. Great Lakers Auto Club is a car club helping their members, families and Charities. Great Lakers Auto Club have car shows along with other fund raisers that help us sustain their existence and learning about automobiles. They are a member of the specialty Equipment market Association.
