Allstate to Discuss Fourth Quarter 2005 Earnings with Investors

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 25, 2006 – The Investor Relations department of The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) will conduct a conference call on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) to discuss fourth quarter 2005 earnings. The company will issue a press release announcing the results the day before on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at or after 4:05 p.m. EST.

Those interested in listening to the call live can access an Internet webcast on the company’s Web site. Go to www.allstate.com/ir, and then click on the “Live Webcast” link.
